Graphics software

Exploring inverse and differentiable rendering, shader compilation, and automatic differentiation.

The work

At Qualcomm, I worked with the Graphics Commercialization & Research team on neural rendering and novel view synthesis, the problem of rendering a scene from a new viewpoint. I also worked on inverse and differentiable rendering, integrating Slang and exploring shader compilation and automatic differentiation.

Try the idea

A rendered surface encodes information about its material and the light around it. The lighting experiment starts with a much smaller problem: fitting one light direction to a reference image.

Where was the light?
